「アビイ・ロード・スタジオ」のエンジニアであったアラン・パーソンズと、セッション・ピアニストやソングライターのエリック・ウールフソンは固定メンバーで、レコーディングごとに参加メンバーは変わっていた。
心地よいサウンドとギターが印象的な名盤。プログレッシブ・ロックを思い起こさせるサウンドでありつつ、キャッチーでポップな音楽によって、イギリスやアメリカで大成功した。大ヒットした「Don't Answer Me」収録。
