This is an ambitious work in which the Stylistics reconstructed classic pop and R&B songs from the past with their own mellow sound. The Stylistics took on R&B and jazz standards in a truly "reinterpretation of soul classics." Side A includes "The Great Pretender," "Only You," and "My Funny Valentine," all of which feature sophisticated strings and falsetto. Side B also includes a selection of sweet songs such as "Unchained Melody," "Satin Doll," and "Send For Me."
