This is their first new studio album in 18 years, since 2005's "A Bigger Bang."
This is the first collaboration with New York-born producer and musician Andrew Watt. Andrew won the Producer of the Year Award at the 2021 Grammy Awards and has previously worked with Pearl Jam, Iggy Pop, Elton John, and others.
Recording took place in various locations around the world, including Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles, Metropolis Studios in London, Sanctuary Studios in Nassau, Bahamas, Electric Lady Studios in New York, and The Hit Factory/Jamano Studios in New York. *Only the Japanese version comes with English commentary and lyrics translation.
