The title of this album is named after Meteora, a world heritage site in Greece. Linkin Park also started using Pro Tools, a recording tool that is now commonly used, from this album. The ninth track, "Breaking The Habit," took about six years to create. The music video is a full anime work, and it was also a hot topic because it was produced by the Japanese animation production company GONZO.
