His fresh and sensitive playing captivated many listeners, and his debut album, "Scenery," garnered worldwide acclaim. Fukui, who began playing the piano at age 22, recorded this album at age 28. His youthful, dedicated performances delightfully stir the emotions of listeners. From the striding, sweeping swing of "It Could Happen To You" to the exhilarating, joyful "Early Summer," and the late-autumn night air of "Scenery," the album exudes a "Hokkaido-esque" feeling, blending grand scale and subtlety with Fukui's unique talents.
