Perry Farrell's journey into introspection through a diverse range of sound.
With Mike Watt as their new bassist, the band developed an experimental and psychedelic sound, and this final album includes a variety of songs, including "Tahitian Moon."
While drawing on the tradition of Jane's Addiction, this album depicts a more serene and introspective soundscape. Tracks like the surf-inspired "Tahitian Moon" and the tranquil "Hundred Ways" feature prominent acoustic sounds. Former Minutemen member Mike Watt's bass lines add a soft undulation to the low frequencies, adding depth to the sound. The track featuring David Sylvian exudes a dreamlike atmosphere, showcasing a creativity that transcends the boundaries of rock. This is the final chapter of a band where diversity and introspection coexist.
