A work that was forced to go in a radically different direction.
The 12th album, released in 1984. This was essentially their last major label release, and included the singles "Special Girl" and "Can't Fall Asleep to a Lullabye."
With the help of three producers and many famous session musicians, this album transformed into a sound that made heavy use of synthesizers, which was popular in the mid-80s. The band's selling point was its simple sound that made use of refreshing choruses and nostalgic melodies, but they could not resist the trend of the times.
