An abyss of jazz and poetry that melts into the darkness.
Aesthetics of solitude and decadence. Maki Asakawa's most introspective work.
Maki Asakawa has created her own world between avant-garde jazz and Showa era pop music. "Crossing the Flow" is the album where her musicality and literary expression reached the peak. Guitar and piano are kept to a minimum, and her low, conversational singing voice emerges. Poetry and sounds reminiscent of late-night bars and rainy back alleys quietly permeate the album. It can be said that this is an album to listen to the "atmosphere" rather than the music.
