This is the first album that does not include cover songs.
His 10th album, released in 1981. The Japanese title is "Daddy's Smile." It is a representative work of his 80's, featuring "Her Town Too," a collaboration with JD Souther.
This album was a big hit in Japan too, riding on the AOR movement of the time. Produced by Peter Asher, it features West Coast musicians Waddy Wachtel (guitar), Rick Marotta (drums), and Leland Sklar (bass), making it a delicate and gentle album.
