1967年にリリースされた2nd.アルバムの限定リイシュー盤。ヒットシングルとなった『Nights in White Satin』や『Tuesday Afternoon』などを収録。
2nd.アルバムにして、初のコンセプトアルバムである本作。RockとOrchestraの融合を果たした、Progressive Rock黎明期の作品でもある。Mike Pinder(Key.)を迎え、当時の最新鋭であったメロトロンを初めてサウンドに取り入れた作品として知られている。
