Minako's sophisticated elegance, faintly glowing at night
The red record speaks of her ambition and delicate presence.
This is Honda Minako's second album, and it features such gems as "Marilyn of 1986," "The Ribbon Can't Be Untied," and "Bathroom Angel." Based on lyrics by Yasushi Akimoto and music by Kyohei Tsutsumi, the songs are woven together by multiple arrangers to create vibrant colors, with intonations that capture the night and are truly moving. The first pressing of the record was red, and the title simply read, "Lips," creating a sleek and striking visual. The album reached number three on the Oricon charts, and the pop world she expresses has steadily resonated with audiences.
