A live album released in 1972. It was a collaboration between Carlos Santana and Buddy Miles, whom he had long respected. Although it was a live album, it was a huge hit, reaching number 8 on the US album charts.
This is a live recording from their appearance at "The Sunshine Crater Festival" held on the island of Oahu in Hawaii from New Year's Eve to New Year's Day in 1971, but due to equipment trouble, the band members gathered in a studio at a later date to record additional material and complete the performance. This is also a valuable live recording that marked a major turning point in their work, moving from Latin Rock to a more fusion-influenced style.
