The Stone Roses frontman shows us a new path.
1998's "Unfinished Monkey Business" marked Brown's departure as a solo artist. Its different sonic approach from his band days demonstrated the breadth of his musical vision. It was an experimental album that showed new possibilities for the Manchester sound.
