This work is a re-arrangement and composition of grandiose background music for an orchestra, and it could easily be treated as a classical piece.
Following the huge success of the 1977 theatrical release of Space Battleship Yamato, the background music from the first TV series, which was originally recorded in mono, was re-recorded and rearranged as a suite in stereo for this work.
