"Matte Agetai" was written as the theme song for the Kadokawa movie "Nerareta Gakuen" released in 1981. The lyrics were written in imitation of "You Didn't Have to Be So Nice" (originally by Lovin' Spoonful), which was covered by Astrato Gilberto.
