The theme song "Ghostbusters" by Ray Parker Jr. has an impressive bass line. The song topped the Billboard 100 for three consecutive weeks. In Japan, it topped the Oricon foreign music singles chart for six consecutive weeks. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song.
