This album won the Grammy Award for Best Record. When you think of the Eagles, this is the album that comes to mind.
The fifth album released in 1976. It includes the title tracks "Hotel California" and "New Kid in Town," both of which were released as singles. This is a representative work that has sold over 16 million copies in the United States and over 32 million copies worldwide to date.
This album contains many meaningful songs about the decline of West Coast Rock, the irony of commercialized rock, and antithesis to the distortion of society. The country influence of the previous album faded, and the rock influence became stronger from this album. Incidentally, the hotel on the cover is a real luxury hotel, "The Beverly Hills Hotel."
