From standards such as "'Round Midnight" (Thelonious Monk) and "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" (Duke Ellington) to his own songs, he delivers a mature performance that is lyrical, gentle, yet swinging. This is a representative live recording of Clifford Jordan's career, with minimal miking by producer and engineer Pierre Spray, and meticulous recording and mixing using high-quality cables, recreating a quality and realism that is hard to believe is a live performance.
