After 40 years, Ritenour and Grusin have completed a sequel to their classic!
This is the sequel to the Brazilian fusion album "HARLEQUIN," released in 1985 and awarded a Grammy Award for Arranging. Four of the nine tracks feature vocals (in Portuguese).
Featuring Brazilian MPB treasure Ivan Lins, the highly popular Celso Fonseca and Chico Pinheiro, up-and-coming female vocalist Tatiana Parha, and Swiss-born Gregor Maret, who has taken over the harmonica world since Toots Thielemans' death. Recorded in Brazil by renowned engineer Don Murray, this album encapsulates Ritenour & Grusin's passion for Brazilian music. The Japanese release is on a 180g heavy vinyl. Cutting was done by master Kitamura Katsutoshi (MIXER'S LAB).
