A masterpiece that rivals the masterpieces left behind by MPB legends! Comes with a Japanese obi!

The long-awaited second album from singer-songwriter Zé Ibaha, known as a member of Barra Deseljo, the Brazilian supergroup that symbolizes the dynamics of the modern MPB scene!

His first solo album, "Marquês, 256.", released in 2023, was a rare masterpiece, brimming with the charm of Brazilian song amidst its tranquility. His vocal style, the polar opposite of the festive mood of Barra Dezejo's music, succeeded in bringing his beautiful voice to a wider audience. It was clear to everyone that he was a leading figure in the contemporary MPB scene. Finally, Zé Ibaha's long-awaited second solo album, "AFIM" (2025), will be released. The album will be distributed outside Brazil by Mr. Bongo, the prestigious UK label that has released works by fellow Barra Dezejo members Dora Morelenbaum and Julia Mestri. The album was co-produced by Lucas Nunes (keyboards), a member of Barra Dezejo and Donica. Other musicians who participated include Alberto Continencino (bass), Guilherme Lirio (guitar), Daniel Conceição and Thomas Arges (drums & percussion), Chico Lira (rose piano), and Rodrigo Pacat (additional percussion), all of whom are the backbone of Rio de Janeiro singer-songwriters such as Ana Frango Electrico and Nicolas Gerardi. This album is a significant step up from the previous album, which was based on guitar and piano, incorporating a variety of elements such as jazz and progressive rock. In addition to original tracks like the lead single "Transe," featuring Frederico Eliodoro and string arrangements by Jaquith Morelenbaum, the album also features covers of songs by Brazilian artists of the same generation, such as "Retrato de Maria Lúcia" by Alagoas singer-songwriter Italo and the fast-paced, punk-inspired "Segredo" by São Paulo indie rock band Sofía Chabrau i Uma Inomi Perda de Tempo. Fans of Barra Dezejo will also be pleased to hear the inclusion of "Essa Confusão," a track co-written with Dora Morelenbaum (also featured on Dora's album "Pique" last year). This is a colorful and dynamic album featuring a stellar lineup of musicians, from legends to contemporaries, but at the same time, it also conveys a sense of continuity with the tranquil world of their previous album, "Marquês, 256.", transporting the listener from a personal world to a universal one. It's a masterpiece that stands on a par with the masterpieces left behind by MPB legends such as Caetano Veloso.
