The late West Coast deep soul singer Vernon Garrett's 1975 Glynnade album, one of his few albums, is being reissued on vinyl LP!
A deep funk masterpiece, with Vernon's fierce and powerful vocals exploding against the backdrop of passionate performances by future LTD and David T. Walker.
During his visit to Japan in 1995, the late West Coast deep soul singer Vernon Garrett declared, "I love singing more than anything." This highly anticipated vinyl reissue marks the release of his rarest album, "Going to My Baby's Place," which was considered "too rare to be worth anything" at the time. This album, originally released as a single on the minor label Watts USA between 1973 and 1974, features several new and previously unreleased tracks, showcasing the unparalleled power of Vernon's raw, bluesy, and powerful vocals. Backed by a lineup including future LTD and David T. Walker, the album's funky backing is another highlight. This long-awaited reissue is not just a rare, but a great deep soul album.
