This album, released in Japan in 1984, shows glimpses of the talent that would later become his worldwide success. His musicality, mastering funk, rock, and soul with ease, was already overwhelming at this point. His versatility as a musician, playing all instruments himself, and the boldness of his sexual lyrics show the true essence of Prince as an artist. This was the starting point of a talent that would rewrite music history.
