The band "Kafka Ibiki", consisting of Jim O'Rourke, Eiko Ishibashi and Tatsuhisa Yamamoto, releases their first new album in eight years!
An "original album" based on improvisational performances.
This is their third album following "okite" and "nemutte". The recordings from the "Recording Live" held at Shimokitazawa ADRIFT in 2023 were re-edited and mixed and mastered by Jim O'Rourke, and the live recording was done by their ally Joe Talia. The best material is the improvisational performance that only these three can spin, but it is not just a live album, and Jim O'Rourke has made it a work with the strength of an original album, just like their previous works. Although they are completely independent musicians, this project is something that the three of them continue regularly as their life work, so you can enjoy the "deepening of the combination" every time they play. Each of them deviates from the framework of being a fixed instrumentalist, and the act of creating one music together using a certain instrument makes their music more unique. They also value the inspiration of improvisational music, and the three compose a song on the spot to become the music of Kafka Snoring.
