A city night depicted with tense synths and a husky vocal.
Following the success of "Bette Davis Eyes," this album strengthens the new wave elements, featuring a sharp soundscape with intertwining synth bass and guitar, and the distinctive voice of Kim Carnes.
The title track, "Voyeur," features a tense arrangement, with a unique mood created by the intertwining of cold synths and rhythms. Carnes' husky vocals, both sharp and emotional, create a consistent worldview throughout the album. The urban atmosphere of Los Angeles and the textures of early '80s electronic rock overlap, clearly marking her evolution as an artist.
