Karajan's performance of Grieg's masterpiece.
The Berliner Philharmoniker will conduct Grieg's masterpiece ``Peer Gynt'' under the direction of Herbert Von Karajan, and will perform the suites ``Suite Nr.1 Op.46,'' ``Suite Nr. 2 Op. 55,'' and ``Sigurd Jorsalfar (Drei Orchesterstücke Op. 56).''
Incidental music composed for the Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen's play "Peer Gynt," first performed in 1876. Grieg's "Sigurd Jorsalfar" was also composed for the play, first performed in 1872.
