Ryuichi Sakamoto's Dream of the Left Arm
The 2015 release on SHM-CD revives the question of the musician's physicality.
Sakamoto's work has always explored the relationship between music and the body, technology and humanity. In this work, he musically explores the poetic concept of dreams experienced by a body part, the left arm. This experimental piece intertwines delicate electronic sounds with the vivid sounds of the piano.
