This is the first leader album recorded in Japan.
Released in 1982, this album contains seven songs, including three self-composed tracks, "Father Time," "Hesitation," and "Twilight." It reached number 9 on the Billboard Jazz chart and number 165 on the overall 200.
He first came to Japan in 1981 as a member of Herbie Hancock's band, and debuted as a bandleader in the same year. This album was released the following year. His improvisational playing, making full use of his incredible trumpet technique, overwhelms all who listen to it.
