This is a breakthrough album that almost says "AOR = Boz Scaggs" and is a representative album.
The single "Lowdown" won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Song and became a hit. "We're All Alone" is a standard number that has been covered by many artists.
It was their first album to reach the top 10 on the Billboard 200 and number 6 on the R&B charts. It was also their first album to enter the UK album charts. Studio musicians who participated in this album included David Paich, David Hungate, and Jeff Porcaro, who went on to form the band Toto.
