To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the release of "A Night at the Opera," the historic album released by rock band Queen in 1975 that achieved multi-platinum status, it has been reissued on a deluxe vinyl record!

It will be released in Japan as a direct import (crystal clear vinyl) with a limited production run of 1,500 copies.

With the unwavering lineup of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon, A Night at the Opera, released in November 1975, became Queen's most ambitious artistic statement and most successful album to date, reaching number one in the charts in five countries, including the UK. "A Night at the Opera was a hugely important album for us," said Queen guitarist Sir Brian May. "It opened up the world to us." "We were at the height of our confidence; we felt like we could do anything, and that really shows on that album," added drummer Roger Taylor. 1975 was a pivotal year for Queen. With A Night at the Opera and Bohemian Rhapsody, they reached new commercial and artistic heights, cementing their status as one of Britain's most imaginative and visionary bands. If any song embodied the ambition that drove them to create A Night at the Opera, it was "Bohemian Rhapsody." Conceived by Mercury and painstakingly crafted by the band, it's not only Queen's most famous signature song, but also a touchstone for entire generations who were enthralled by its majestic grandeur—a dazzling blend of true-life balladry, hard-rock power, and operatic grandeur. "I believed in 'Bohemian Rhapsody' from the very beginning," Taylor says. "I remember when Fred first played us the idea for it and I thought, 'Wow, this is something special.' And it was." Upon its initial release, A Night at the Opera became Queen's first number one album, topping the UK album chart and charting in five countries. It reached number four in the US and has sold over three million copies, earning triple platinum certification. "That album was a watershed moment for us," Sir Brian May says today, "because 'Bohemian Rhapsody' put us on the map not just in the UK, but in America, Australia and all over the world." "It's such a diverse, eclectic album," adds Roger Taylor. "It's crazy, but that's what's great about it. It's got a little bit of everything."
