A dancehall tune featuring Cheryl Lynn's "Encore"!
Mad Lion, who was active around KRS-One's BDP, combines the aggressiveness of dancehall with the heavy beats of hip hop.
This album symbolizes the enthusiasm of the ragga hip-hop movement that was at its height in 1994, centered around New York. The greatest feature of this album is the contrast between the urban brilliance of the sample loop of "Encore" and Mad Lion's rough ragga flow. The entire album exudes the atmosphere of an era when Jamaican dancehall and Bronx hip-hop were most closely linked.
