Towards the realm of futuristic fusion - a leap of synths and rhythms.
Chick Corea's attempt at a fusion of synth and fusion. An experimental piece where improvisation and construction coexist.
"Tap Step" is an ambitious work by jazz pianist master Chick Corea, who has made a major shift from acoustic to electronic music. It is a perfect fusion of his futuristic approach using synthesizers and his characteristic complex harmonic structure. Some songs also incorporate African rhythms and Latin elements, easily transcending the boundaries of genres. This work is reminiscent of the forefront of fusion in the early 1980s, where stillness and movement coexist.
