The moment the roughly pounding drum beat and undulating bass line come together, a unique groove with a damp garage vibe emerges, creating an incredibly free-spirited dance project. The sound image, which captures tight funk with an intentionally lo-fi feel, is a crystallization of the DIY spirit of the '90s indie scene, far removed from sophistication. Rather than being a track for dancing, it's a strange and comfortable masterpiece that makes you want to slip into the gaps in the sound, and you won't be able to escape once you've heard it.
