Barbra Streisand's Afternoon Dreaming
A mature vocal aesthetic, presented in a relaxed atmosphere.
This album represents the sophisticated, grown-up pop world that Streisand reached in the mid-'70s. The gentle mood exemplified by the title track "Lazy Afternoon" dominates the album, and her vocals have grown in ease and depth. Rudy Van Gelder's production is also excellent, successfully creating an intimate atmosphere.
