The second release from My Favorite Soul label is a 7-inch double-sided cover of "Me" featuring "Keyco" as the singer!
This ambitious work features Keyco's song that inspires all women, and is once again recorded with a live band assembled by producer CHICK-D.
Side A "I Am" is a cover song selected from the masterpiece album "Our Connection" by Ayumi Ishida & Tin Pan Alley Family, released in 1977. While making full use of the original song's narration, the song's urban and sophisticated city pop feel is given a Latin funk flavor, giving it a slightly warmer finish. Side B "I am" is a cover of a famous song that only a few people know about, which was released in 2003 by the neo-soul husband-wife duo Kindred the Family Soul's album "Surrender to Love". This is a band ensemble with a soft sound image, and the piano by SWING-O (45trio), who also played the keys on the previous album, and the mellow guitar by Kosuga Tsuyoshi filling in the gaps are wonderful, but above all, the recording is captivating with the gentle and beautiful harmony of the lead vocals of long-time sisters Keyco and Mika Arisaka.
