Starting with the first track "Eruption (Bomber in the Dark)", the album is chronologically comprised of representative songs from their debut to the days of Sammy Hagar (vocals).
The vocals of Dave Lee Roth from the first period and Sammy Hagar from the second period are both deeply satisfying, accompanied by the sound of Eddie's superb guitar technique. The last two songs are new songs, recorded only with Dave rejoining the band this time.
