This reissue of an early masterpiece by this extremely talented white tenor player also leaves an impression with its adorable jacket featuring him cheek to cheek with a child.
This is a 1988 US reissue of the work originally released in 1952. It contains 16 tracks in total, including the elegant ballad "Body and Soul," which could be called his signature song, and is full of captivating improvisational skills.
This album is a compilation of the two 10-inch LPs. For the reissue, the 13th track "Nobody Else But Me" to the 16th track "With The Wind And The Rain In Your Hair" are treated as bonus tracks.
