This album captures the sparkle of the golden age of 80s idol pop.
This 7-inch was released when Asaka Yui was gaining momentum. Her clear vocals and dramatic arrangements are impressive, reflecting the brightness of the times.
Side A, "STAR," is memorable as the theme song for the drama "Sukeban Deka III: Shojo Ninpocho Densetsu," and was composed by Takekawa Yukihide, shining with its dramatic composition. The rhythm incorporates synths, a light beat, and chorus work, while Asaka Yui's clear vocals really bring out the melody. Meanwhile, side B, "Mou Mou Aerunara," has a slightly slower tempo and is sentimental, showing a change in expression. Both sides are arranged with an emphasis on balance over flashiness, resulting in a feel for the mature side of 1980s idol pop.
