A hit single cover of a world famous song by Asami Kobayashi
This classic song was a hit when it was covered in Japan under the title "Ameoto wa Chopin no Shirabe" (The Sound of Rain is Like Chopin's Melody), a worldwide hit by Italian singer Gazebo.
The lyrics were written by Gazebo (real name Paul Mazzolini) and the original song, sung in English, topped the Western singles chart in Japan for 13 weeks. Kobayashi sang it with Japanese lyrics written by Yumi Matsutoya and it became a hit. However, the lyrics "Placement is a drug" caused a problem with the broadcasting code, so Kobayashi could not be seen singing it on television at the time.
